kindness
“WOMEN, O WOMEN, DON’T SIT THERE, DO SOMETHING POSITIVE

is a popular slogan used by Liberian women; it was used throughout the war years. We took it to heart, and now our positive influence has been changing lives of women and children all over Liberia.”
Rosana Hungerpiller Schaack
Rosana Schaack was one of three women who started THINK in 2004. Touching Humanity In Need of Kindness birthed out of their efforts to combat the giant problems that had taken root in post-war Liberia.
Schaack was born in Liberia and raised by American missionaries. Along with many others, she and her family endured hardship in Liberia during the civil war. Her compassion was fueled during this time, as she arose to do something in response to the atrocities she had witnessed.
She is married to Kay Schaack and they have three children, and three grandchilidren, as well as many foster kids. Schaack operates as executive director of THINK, and has been the driving force behind it’s efforts since day one. Her life touches humanity in “forgotten” places, and her kindness toward people, no matter their ethnicity, goes beyond comprehension.
THINK provides KINDNESS through:
